If you are planning a Wedding

We invite you to consider the facilities offered by the Antioch Missionary Baptist Church of Christ, one of the most beautiful edifices in the city

– nestled and surrounded by the skyscrapers of downtown Houston, Texas.  The sanctuary accommodates 350-400 persons and there is garage parking across the street from the church.

This National Historic Landmark, organized in 1866 and built in 1875, is famed throughout the nation for its century-old tradition of celebrating beautiful wedding ceremonies. In the main sanctuary, the beautiful stained glass windows flood the church with tinted light providing luminous richness to the interior of the church and the carpeted center aisle. As you lift your eyes, looking above at the ceiling of the church, you will see a star (the beginning), cross (the end) and circle (eternity).

We cherish our tradition of helping couples begin their marriage with rare beauty and would be honored to help you host one of the most important days in your life. The Antioch Missionary Baptist Church is open to all who desire the blessing of a Christian marriage ceremony. Guest officiants are welcome upon approval.
